The team launch and all the events at Wroom were great we had a good time. I had a buddy from the OWB who went with me. He’d never been outside the States so he got to see how some of the other parts of the world do things.
A few days they worked us pretty heavy but we also had a few mellow days where we able to do some skiing and have some fun.
The highlight was for sure winning the cart race; I know it was just for fun but we all pretty competitive guys so a win is a win. It was pretty cool being on live TV in Italy and the all the locals on the hill side watching.
Actually the car race were I got second was prob more fun cuz it had jump and after bout the 3rd lap there was car parts and hay bales all over the place, it was too funny!
I’m happy to report my skiing has improved slightly but its I still along way off being ready for any Olympic medals. Anyway I’ve been back at my place in California doing some training with the bro’s, unfortunately the last 2 days all its done has rained. So that has put a hold on some activities but we’ve still been able to get some work done.
Before I go want to thank everybody at Wrooom and the Team because this was the 20th anniversary of the event and they really stepped it up and put on a great week it was a honor to be there.
Also want to keep everyone affected by the earthquake in Haiti in our prayers, that’ is sad situation and my heart goes out to them and their families.
I got a photo shoot for Tissot tomorrow then a red eye to New York (concrete jungle where dreams come true) for Ducati and the bike show…. peace
Well, I’m stuck in Chicago airport on my way home from India thanks to some great weather. When I was going thru my phone I saw a few photos that I wanted to share with you guys.
They pretty random but here’s the run down:
My favorite one is from when I was at Ducati headquarters last wk checking in with all the crew and checking out my 2010 weapon. Watching them test engines on the dyno was cool. I’m happy to report they’re doing their home work.
Also had a few pictures from when me, my bro Rog and a few of our boys went to watch the university of Kentucky basketball game. They beat north Carolina in a thriller that went right down to the buzzer in a instant classic for sure. Freshman John Wall took over, he is a bad dude!!!
Also got a picture from me and all the fellas at one of my best friend’s wedding from a few wks ago which you could also could say was a instant classic!!
HAHA And last some pretty interesting pictures from my latest trip to India where we launched a new Ductai dealership. It was my first time there, prob wouldn’t go back anytime soon on my own time, but wow didIi get to see a few things I cant say I see everyday and meet some nice people.
The biggest thing was seeing cow’s in the middle of the road, yes I said cow’s in the middle of the road in the middle of the city. Turns out there some people actually worship these cow’s and the locals told me you better off to hit a person in the road then a cow!!! No wonder they didn’t let me drive!!!

Nicky’s latest update about the end of the season race at Valencia-
Just left Ducati headquarters here in Bologna going through some things. I can say that they really do work over there, its really a small group compared to what ya may think but they make up for it with long hours . When I left in the evening it looked like most of the boss’s were grabbing another gear and still hard it. It was very impressive for a Tuesday in November.
Anyway its on to Valencia in the morning for the last go round of the year, I am kinda bummed the season is over, but also looking forward to starting over fresh. We need to go out strong and start building for next year.
I love the Valencia track and just that race and atmosphere in general so lets cross the fingers for a solid result.
I got a few random photos for yall, one is from on the way home from Malaysia in Tokyo airport hanging out with Ivan Basso and his liquidgas cycling team. They’re good guys and we had some pretty funny chit chat ’bout their racing and mine.

Hey coming to ya from home in OWB and I’ve got some good news to share with you all. My Brother Tommy and his wife had a new baby a few days ago. Her name is Klaudia Rose Hayden, all is good and momma and baby are back home now and doing well. We’re not sure how fast she´ll be just yet but we’re hoping she’ll be ready for Moto2 in 2025!
